The Challenge
A global business process outsourcing firm was faced with a serious and escalating problem - organized criminal groups were targeting their call center employees, attempting to recruit insiders to help steal customer information and carry out large-scale fraud. With escalating risks to client data, financial stability, client relations and the company’s reputation at risk, they turned to Juno Risk for guidance and intervention.

Our Approach
We assembled a multidisciplinary team to respond. Cybersecurity specialists, fraud investigators, risk managers, HR professionals, and insider threat experts worked together to examine how employees were being approached, what vulnerabilities were being exploited, and where controls could be strengthened. Through interviews, data analysis, and process reviews, the team identified patterns in the criminal tactics and the roles most at risk.

Outcome
Juno Risk changed the conversation. Employees were at risk from criminals, and company security measures were being implemented to increase the distance between their staff and the predatory criminals.
The result was a practical, organization-wide strategy to disrupt recruitment attempts and better protect employees and customer data. We provided clear recommendations covering employee awareness, reporting processes, monitoring, and internal controls. With these measures in place, the company was able to address the immediate threat while aligning its defenses with its corporate culture.
